This was made from a raku fire and horse hair. In the middle of firing, they threw horselair onto it so it melted into the pottery. I love this, it makes the pottery so unique. I hope we could try this, but i doubt it.
Tiles. (Not fired) For my tiles I used celtic symbols. My family is irish, if you couldnt tell. And my dog is named Celtic.
I used my own ideas by adding things to the corners like the first one below. there was acouple problems I had making these. It was hard to make them look like they are weaving but i managed to get it. Sketches. Final pieces I used my own in these cups by adding details. At the end of independence study, I started to add designs to my pieces. I added the roses, which was something i was practicing, and the balls in the bottom of one cup.
Most of my work is original. But once my cups are done glazing, i hope they turn out the way i saw in the pictures. I think my artwork is like me by the way they sort of grow more and more in detail. I start out kind of the same or boring. But once you start to get to know me, you start seeing a more detailed person and then lastly you get the crazy paige that bounces off the walls(which represents the balls). Jess Riva Cooper. She has a beautiful taste in how she sees her artwork. There's my favorite thing, flowers, which she uses them to an advantage. Taking a sculpture of a person, and adding flowers, texture, and different drawing techniques makes her art work so much more beautiful. k was made with paper mache, slip and score, and for the colored drawings on the clay, It makes me think that she had used colored slip. Jane Silk. Her pieces are very well crafted into an image of an animal. She goes into different types of farm animals. They are very cute and I have a big heart for animals. I believe she used paint for her artwork.
